Our School is Growing! Yea!
Thanks to a generous donation, George is able to finish his school from preschool to 7th grade! Plus, a grant from "The Cause" was awarded for a fence to keep all our kids safe!!

New School Nurse
A school nurse was hired in March 2024 to treat the infectious diseases in the school. Medicines are also provided to be able to treat the diseases. This is a picture of the headmaster with the new nurse.
1st Trimester Ends with Exams
Children finished their first trimester on April 27.
2nd Trimester Begins with Excitement
Children returned to school ready to learn and excited to see their friends.
Easter Celebration
Children received a festive chicken lunch with rice. A real treat! Then older children watched the story of Easter in their native language Lugandan. It was the first time for many to hear this story. It was projected on the wall with the projector that was given to the school when Joy and April visited. It had a power pack with solar charging.
3rd School Year Begins
The new school year began on February 5, 2024. New desks, posho, beans and workbooks were purchased. Six teachers and the headmaster returned as well as the cook! Two new teachers began and were recruited from a distance so stay in rented rooms. New mattresses were purchased for the teachers to use. In addition, a nurse began to treat infectious diseases. She lives in the community and will visit at least once a month. There are 25 children in every classroom, 150 total. Here is to a great start!
End of Year Celebration
Year 2 finished at Raven's Ark with a feast. Students and families had fresh fruit, chicken, posho and soda. A real treat for everyone. School will resume in February for year 3. Look forward to an additional 3rd grade class and new Nursery group.

Oct. 27, 2023 - Parents received reports about the end of a successful term.
Fruit Trees Planted
Oct. 9, 2023 - Orange, jack fruit, and mango trees were planted to provide fruit and shade for the children in the future.
